A ride through Peninsula State Park is enjoyable anytime of the year, but especially now, when nature is waking from winter. The “scenic route” from Fish Creek to Ephraim, the park expands 3,776 acres with scenic winding road through pristine woodlands. Rocky bluffs ascend over 150 feet and provide some of Door County’s most spectacular views. Bob and I especially like to take Skyline Road and stop by Sven’s Bluff to take in the view of the Strawberry Islands. There are so many special roads and places in the Park…Mengelberg Lane, Sunset Trail, Eagle Bluff Lighthouse, Nicolet Bay, and Eagle Tower are just a few. So, take MOM for a ride and enjoy the scenery!

WHITEFISH DUNES STATE PARK
In 1967 the State of Wisconsin established Whitefish Dunes State Park. The park is a day use park that consists of 865 acres. The sand beach is the best in Door County! Bob and I especially enjoy walks along the beach…it’s “ocean-like” and seem to be endless. You can also enjoy miles of fabulous hiking and cross country ski trails. The Door County Home Builder's Association will be hosting the Annual Door County Home & Garden Show on March 24 & 25 at the Stone Harbor Resort and Conference Center in Sturgeon Bay. The event runs from 10:00 AM to 6 PM on Saturday and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday. Booths will showcase electronics, interior decorating, landscaping, appliances, banking, cabinets, ponds, window treatments, flooring...plus there will be numerous home seminars throughout the day!
