Look for migrating shorebirds, listen for sandhill cranes, and identify trees and shrubs, a few that may be in early bud. Discover the history of Claflin Point by visiting a nearby pioneer cemetery. As the event approaches its fifth year, it has exceeded all expectations – earning a reputation as one of the Midwest’s great runs. 

The entire half marathon is run on paved surfaces in Peninsula State Park. This U.S. Track and Field certified course starts and finishes near Nicolet Beach.

The course winds through the park, giving runners breathtaking views of Lake Michigan, shaded areas through the woods, challenging hills and ever-changing scenery throughout one of Wisconsin’s most popular parks.  DETAILS!

Basic instruction featured. Bring your own skis or snowshoes, rentals available at local shops. Light refreshments available. Park in Lot 5 and meet at the warming shelter. Enter at Highland Rd, one mile north of Fish Creek at Hwy 42 and Cty Rd A. A trail pass is not required for the event, purchase admission sticker at park headquarters or self-registration station. No pets.  DETAILS!

Join campfire sing-a-long champ Dan Makuen and storytelling wiz-kid Charles Dickson for an hour of songs and legends at the Nature Center. Bring a blanket or lawn chair if you wish. Rain? We'll go inside the Nature Center. Free and open to the public but a state park vehicle sticker is required.  DETAILS!
